When you combine the power of today's social media with the constant need for business growth, you get a lot of:
wishing for success
When compared to someone else who "went big,"
Willingness to pay exorbitant fees for experts
pleading for expansion
However, the recipe for business expansion has not changed. It is still the same:
define what you desire
Figure out how to get what you want and then go after it.
Wouldn't it be better to control the process rather than hoping and wishing for success? Then you could press the REPEAT button as many times as you wanted.
Fortunately, you can achieve the business growth you desire and require over and over again. Whatever your industry, the goal is to expand your business.
Here's how you can go about it:
STEP 1: Define Your Goals
Do you know what you want, starting at the top? Are you looking for exposure, leads, referrals, authority, respect, recognition, local networking, new opportunities, branding, more sales, retention, upselling, or something else?
Make sure you know exactly what YOU require. What, specifically, will propel your company to the next level? What is the catalyst for the exponential growth you seek? What did you want to "go viral" for, and how would that have aided you?
The next step is to determine what your company requires step is figuring out how to get it.
STEP 2: Determine How to Get What You Want
Mike had only one pressing requirement: RETENTION. We collaborated to create a book (print cost less than $1/bk) that was distributed to his customers. The book described the advantages of the nutritional supplements developed and sold by Mike's company. Each supplement order came with a small book, which increased retention as people learned more about the product. As a result of customers staying on the product for an additional 2-3 months, the company's profits increased by $100,000-$200,000 per month.
Dave only had one goal in mind: to increase SALES of his core product (a $2,000 leadership programme). We created a book (for less than $1/bk to print) that was sold to his franchise sales reps (for $3/bk), who then gave it to him the books to their prospective customers Business has skyrocketed! The leadership programme was sold out faster than ever before. Dave quickly reprinted 5,000 additional books and repeated the process.Beth wished for more BUSINESS. She was always looking for more jobs, leads, and referrals as a commercial architect. We created a full-color children's book with a glossy hard cover that cost around $5 to print. Everyone with whom she did business received a copy. And when the clients read her book to their children, they couldn't help but think of Beth! And I highly recommend her! And her company grew.
Chris required a JOB. We created a small book (approximately $4/bk to print) that resulted in 8 job interviews and 8 job offers! His challenge became deciding which job to take.
Bill was looking for REFERRALS. As a home inspector, he wanted as much work as he could get He purchased a DIY home-maintenance book (for around $10) and gave it to each of his customers as a small "thank you for your business." One client recommended Bill to anyone he knew who was selling or buying a home. One $10 book resulted in a slew of referrals!
The stories go on and on, but each of these real-life examples demonstrates the incredible power of repeatable business growth. All these people have to do to get more retention, sales, business, jobs, or referrals is press their own REPEAT button!
They know exactly what they want and how to get it. Their development is replicable!
STEP 3: Then Carry It Out
When you know exactly what you need to grow your core business and have a proven method for achieving that growth, the only thing left to do is do it. Then you can repeat the process as many times as you want. REPEAT... REPEAT... REPEAT... REPEAT is now at your disposal!
This is far superior to any "viral" success because you have complete control over it. You made it, so you have authority over it. You can tinker with it and make it better. And you can do it over and over again.
Real, consistent, and money-in-your-pocket growth is what repeatable business growth is. That's exactly what you want!
